Gente do Vale reúne três narrativas contadas na primeira pessoa por habitantes do Vale da Amoreira. Onde ser português é a fantasia de quem vive em África, e ser africano é a fantasia que resulta de habitar em Portugal. Os narradores Luís Mucauro, Adriano Diouf e Joãozinho da Costa - que interpretaram a sua própria experiência pessoal em palco - são os protagonistas destas histórias de formação. Eles narram episódios das suas vidas, que terminam no momento em que a aprendizagem acumulada dá origem as suas individualidades.

Gente do Vale brings together three narratives told in the first person by inhabitants of Vale da Amoreira. Where being Portuguese is the fantasy of those who live in Africa, and being African is the fantasy that results from living in Portugal. The narrators Luís Mucauro, Adriano Diouf and Joãozinho da Costa are the protagonists of these upbringing stories. They describe episodes from their lives, that end at the moment when the accumulated knowledge gives rise to their individualities.
